I'm trying to create a Wordpress app, but am confused about the domains. I already have one domain http://my_username.webfactional.com. I am using this for my Django app. Now I need one for my Wordpress app. Can I create another webfactional domain (and if so, how) or do I need to buy a real domain from some registrar? Can I reuse the same one - it's not letting me? Can I use the free one from Wordpress: my_name,wordpress.com? The control panel allowed me to create a second domain http://www.my_username.webfactional.com (with www), but aren't these actually the same?

Each customer can only have one user.webfactional.com domain, but you can create and use as many subdomains of your user.webfactional.com domains as you want. There's no limit there.

No, www.user.webfactional.com and user.webfactional.com are not the same. You can use them to serve different apps without any issue. Although I'd suggest you use a different prefix, like blog.my_username.webfactional.com for example.

Thank you this is exactly what I needed to know. Perhaps this should be in the WebFaction domain documentation somewhere.
