Upload via FTP issue

I'm trying to upload via FTP and 2 min later I'm getting a 550

Uploading on another server works just fine

What FTP client are you using? Can you try using the commandline or FileZilla?

I'm using FlashFXP. Installed FileZilla = same issue, other errors. This is frustrating

When using FileZilla, are you still using FTP (port 21), or are you using SFTP (port 22)? SFTP should be more reliable as well as more secure, so if you haven't tried that yet, please do.

If that still doesn't work, it could indicate a connection issue somewhere between yourself and your particular WebFaction server. Do you have a solid ping to the server?

If the issue is not a connection problem, then it sounds like there may be a permissions problem caused by attempting to upload to an unwritable directory; if you can open a support ticket and provide the exact paths you are uploading to, we can reset your SSH password and attempt to reproduce and debug the issue.

You are very welcome. If you still have trouble with ftp, you can open a support ticket and we can check to see if your IP has been blocked.
