I'd like to upgrade my installation, I'm following this tutorial

I'm stuck in this step

ERROR:  Error installing i18n:
        i18n requires RubyGems version >= 1.3.5

is this a big problem? thanks

From the support center

No. its not you just need to update the PATH and GEM_HOME variables before running rake or gem.
