Hi,

I'm working through a tutorial online that refers to potentially making changes to the MySQL conf file (http://ask.github.com/celery/faq.html#mysql-is-throwing-deadlock-errors-what-can-i-do). Will I be able to do that on WebFaction?

Thanks, Dave

Hi,

Have you setup your own private instance of MySQL for that?

If not, you can do that by following: http://community.webfaction.com/questions/3838/compiling-a-private-mysql-installation-in-your-home-directory

You would not be able to make the above changes on the shared MySQL server configuration.

Hope that helps!
