What is the process to make my site set up with SSL? Do I need to buy a certificate? Any help would be great.

Yes, you would need to buy your own certificate and a dedicated IP too.

Yes, a dedicated IP costs $5/month extra.

Now the doc says a dedicated IP is no longer necessary (unless you wish to support non-SNI-compatible browsers).

As of December 2011, all of our servers support Server Name Indication (SNI) for HTTPS sites. SNI is supported by most modern web browsers.

In practical terms, this means that we can serve your HTTPS site with your certificate on your server's shared IP address, so a dedicated IP is no longer required for this purpose.

You can read our announcement here.
