Just wondering... can Webfaction also register a domain name? Or should I register my domain name first through a service like GoDaddy? If I should use an alternative service, does WebFaction recommend any good domain name register services?

Thanks!

We are not a domain registrar - you will have to register at a service like GoDaddy or NameCheap. Here is a list of accredited registrars: http://www.icann.org/en/registrars/accredited-list.html

Hope that helps!

Just FYI, I use GoDaddy because they are cheap and because serving the DNS is included with their basic service (use GoDaddy's 'Domain Management' link then click on one of your registered domains then 'DNS Manager').

They've started promoting a 'Premium DNS' service for a fee, I haven't checked it out, I hope that I'm not forced to use it in the future.
