Hey folks,

I'd like to install the current version of Mercurial (or at least a 2.x release). Using the default guide, I can only seem to get 1.3 installed.

Any help would be appreciated!

It sounds to me like you already have 1.3 installed - if you want to upgrade to a newer version, then include the -U flag with the easy_install command, eg: easy_install-2.7 -U Mercurial

Hope that helps!

Sean, when I run this with Python 2.6 (current supported release for Hg), I get the following: No such file or directory: '/home/cdigs/lib/python2.6/test-easy-install-5513.pth' Upon further inspection, it seems that Python 2.6 is not installed. /home/cdigs/lib/python2.6/ This directory does not currently exist However, when I run the commands here: http://docs.webfaction.com/software/python.html I can clearly see that Python 2.6 is installed...

Try creating the directory manually,

1
mkdir /home/cdigs/lib/python2.6/
