I am using django-pipeline which has an option to select a compressor. Aside from Python compression libs available, I want to use Google Closure and YUI. However, the documentation states that default locations for these binaries are at /usr/local/lib. Are these compressors installed? If so, where can I access them? If not, where can I install and access them? Thanks in advance!

According to django-pipeline's documentation, you can override the default location of a compressor if you set the appropriate variable to point at the compressor's execution script.

If you want to enable the yuicompressor for example, you need to set the PIPELINE_YUI_BINARY variable.

You can install a package like the one here, or download the yuicompressor binary and create your own script. The most common place to put such scripts is your $HOME/bin directory (so your PIPELINE_YUI_BINARY should point at $HOME/bin/yuicompressor).
