I'm using 2 machines under 1 user would like to measure memory usage of each. Is there anyway of doing this as it looks like the following gives the memory usage on both machines?

ps -u <user> -o rss,command | grep -v peruser | awk '{sum+=$1} END {print sum/1024}'

That should calculate on a per machine basis, whichever one you are logged into, in normal usage. Please let us know how you are running the command to show both machines at one time.

My mistake - I was logged in to username.webfactional.com instead of webXX.webfaction.com.

Thanks
