My question is: Has anyone else experienced problems with Mercurial 2.4?

I installed Mercurial following the instructions in the offical webfaction docs.

easy_install-2.7 Mercurial

This gets Mercurial 2.4.rc1. Everything went fine but doing:

hg init
hg add
hg status

resulted in an untrapped error. One of those useless "expected string got Nonetype" ones. Sometimnes I would get segmentation fault instead.

I re-installed a couple of times getting same result.

Then I went back to an earlier Mewcurial:

easy_install pip
easy_install-2.7 pip
pip install Mercurial==1.9.1

and everything is fine. I'm on web235.

I haven't experienced such issues with Mercurial myself, so I'm not sure what could be causing this for you. You can open a ticket if you'd like our support team to take a look at this for you. Please make sure to provide the steps to reproduce the problem.
