The current website domain docs do not match the actual panel interface: http://docs.webfaction.com/user-guide/websites.html

How do you configure an app at a custom domain to support both http and https?

You need to create 2 separate website entries in the control panel. eg: mysite and mysite_ssl

Enabled https for the mysite_ssl entry.

Then you can add the domain and applications to both those entries.

When I try this approach (entering the domain name in the "Domains" field on the https record) I get the error:

"sitename.org" is not a valid domain name

Yet, I was able to enter the domain name on the http record. Help?
