Hi, I've searched through the forums on this a little and haven't found a good answer...I'm trying to install boinc which is easiest to do in their 366 MB virtual machine which can be played on Oracle's VirualBox. They have versions for red hat 4,5,6...which is most appropriate and how easy do you think it would be to get this set up? Also, I would need a static IP for it...can you assign me one? Thanks... asked 12 Dec '12, 07:17 jbrkeith |
You can install BOINC by building it (along with a newer version of curl) from source. Here are the commands to run:
Once that's done, BOINC will be installed in your home directory. If you need a dedicated IP, you can request one via the Upgrades form in the control panel. Hope that helps! answered 12 Dec '12, 13:22 seanf Thanks! It worked!
