You would have to build your own apache stack in order to install the PHP drivers. Also MongoDB has been known to cause issues in a shared environment as it can not limit its use of RAM.

I´ll host de MongoDB on other server, I just want to activate mongo.so to make my app connect to the otrer mongo server (mongohq.com). In this case, do I need to build my stack??

Thanks.

Yes, since the LoadModule directive's context is server config and that file can not be edited. You would need your own stack to be able to do that. You could use one of our installers, say the mod_wsgi installer to build a generic apache stack and edit it from there. It depends on if you need to also build the .so for this platform.
