My static app is set up just fine, and most files download without issue. But today I uploaded a zip file and tested downloading it from FF and it does not download.

I went to test some other files and noticed that it only seems to serve files that the browser can display locally, for example:

.jpg, .mp3 served just fine,

.zip, .tar not served

This is very confusing to me. Is there a way to set up the app so that it can properly serve these other filetypes?

It is likely to do with the mimetypes not being set on the files. Could you please log a support ticket with us through your control panel? Then we can look at your app specifically and better assess -Wayne K | WebFaction Support
