I'm using two Python Django apps in my account. When I tried to send a test email to both apps, the one with very little traffic received the email instantly. However, the app with more traffic didn't receive the email. I repeated this a few times with the same result.

I logged into my account and, in Apache, restarted the app not receiving emails. After restarting it began receiving emails instantly, also.

What is causing this email behavior?

It sounds to me as though whatever code handles the incoming email wasn't actually live, and activated after a restart.

If you can reproduce the problem and would like us to look into it further, then please open a support ticket and let us know the details.
