Anyway that there could be a wordpress_latest application added to the application list - that'd just automatically install the latest version?

Just thinking it's going to be frustrating rewriting that little string for an API installation of WordPress everytime they update.

The control panel is not used for version control of any application. The installers are static and do not change. You must always update the app manually as we can't predict if you are using custom code which the upgrade might break.

Ah ok - looks like I can just pull down the list of app types and sort out the highest WP version and use that. Works well enough
