I read the documentation about Wordpress Multisite installations on webfaction.

Here it says that:

 if you entered example.com in the previous step, enter *.example.com

If my domain is a subdomain, such as sub.example.com, should I enter *.sub.example.com?

If you are going to be hosting subs of that sub-domain, such as one.sub.example.com and two.sub.example.com.
