Hi. I try to connect with nautilus to webserver but after accepted certificated and insert the password, it show the root of the server, with home, and link to home2. In both directory I can't access.

I create a connection into Go -> Location as

sftp://username@webxxx.webfaction.com

If I do same thing into terminal I get a correct connection and it show me the webapps direcory. Why I can't get the correct connection in nautilus?

Hello,

/home and /home2 are not user-readable, for security reasons. They are executable though, so you should be able to set the initial folder in Nautilus to /home/USERNAME (replace USERNAME with your actual username) to be placed in your account as soon as you log in.

Or manually change the folder to /home/USERNAME after you have logged in with Nautilus.

Please consider submitting a ticket to us when experiencing such issues, lest you inadvertently disclose security-sensitive details when posting on our community forum.

Sincerely,

Valentin I.

@kreatore:

I just verified that the method posted by @valentini works for me (using Nautilus 3.2.1) and posted a screenshot of the Nautilus configuration dialog here.

HTH. HAND.
