I successfully changed the password of my database but I cannot change the database_name or change the database_user. I can add another database_user for a database_name but to rename it has no option. I think I can make a backup of my database and restore the backup with another name, but this process is too lengthy. Is there a direct way to rename the database via control panel or via SSH? Please share.

I'm afraid it's not possible to rename a database, you would need to do as you've described and recreate the database. Import and export via the commandline would be quickest, which you can find instructions for here:
