I have an application running on www.mydomain.com

I would like to use webalizer to check the stats of my website

I installed a webalizer application using control panel

I created a subdomain webalizer.mydomain.com

I created a website for the webalizer application using webalizer.mydomain.com

Now.. if I check webalizer.mydomain.com I only get the message: Webstats coming soon

What am I missing in my try to get webalizer running stats for my website??

Thx in advance

Webalizer stats are generated once per 24 hours. Did 24 hours pass since you installed Webalizer? If not, then all you need to do is wait.

Ok.. 24 hours have passed and webalizer is showing stats.. but it seems the stats are about webalizer.mydomain.com.

What must I do to change webalizer's behaviour in a way that allows me to see the stats of my website www.mydomain.com?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

If you set it up in the control panel to use the site name for your site and not for the webalizer sub domain it will be calculating the stats for your domain.com rather than webalizer.domain.com.

The answer is in the app doc for your Webalizer app:

To begin analyzing log files, mount this application at a URL path which is a subpath of the domain you wish to monitor. For example, to analyze the logs of "example.com" mount the application at "/path" on a Website record that includes "example.com" as one of its domains.

So, go to your site and add the Webalizer app to your www.domain.com site on a path like '/stats' or whatever. It will then begin to track the stats for www.domain.com, and you'll be able to view them at www.domain.com/stats.
