Hi,

Need to run a script on reboot or cold start. Planning to add this on cron jobs:

@reboot sh /home/myhome/webapps/myPythonScriptFolder/start

Is this the ideal way to do this at webfaction ?

Will it work in all reboot or shutdown-boot scenario ?

Yes, that would be the proper way.

It will fire each time the system boots.

hi, You can add you script location in below file then it ll run after every reboot... /etc/rc.local ## it a script read after system get startup.... Try it may help you

That would work on a system for which you have root access, but we're a managed hosting provider and our customers do not have that sort of access to the servers.
