Hello.

I'm a bit new to all of this.

I've tried to add another website to my account (through the control panel) but I can't seem access it from the internet.

I reused my previous contents (htdocs web55) so when I go to the site of the new URL, I get the original site.

I can only have one index file at a time, so if I upload the new index file, it deletes the previous one.

I can't make a new htdocs folder or even a htdocs/new site.

How do I make a new contents (folder) to upload my index file to for my new site?

Do I need a subdomain?

Thanks

Sean

If you want to serve a different application for your new site, then just create the new application and assign it to the site in the control panel. See this document for more information: Creating a Simple Website

Hope that helps!

Thanks for responding Sean.

I used your Simple website directions and tried to create an app with "static."

When I go to my URL, I still get the Webfaction splash page that says the site not configured.

When I FTP in, I can see that there is an index page inside the static folder (app) but that page won't display on my URL.

What am I doing wrong?

Sean

It takes a few minutes for the new site to go live. If the problem persists, then please try clearing your browser cache and reloading the page. If that doesn't help, then please open a support ticket via the control panel so that we can take a closer look.

Yep. That did the trick.

Thanks for all your help.
