It seems there is a limit of 15mb on incoming mails but what about outgoing mails? Is the same limit in place? What happpens to a mail if you try to send one with attachments larger than 15mb ?

The Message Size Limit of both incoming and outgoing emails is 20MB.

The Roundcube configuration at https://webmail.webfaction.com/ is configured for an outgoing limit of 15MB (because we are compensating for Roundcube's multi-part encoding, and other miscellaneous overhead).

If you try to send a message that is larger than 20MB, your email client will produce an error. For example, if you try to send a larger file using Mozilla Thunderbird, you will receive this error message:

The size of the message you are trying to send exceeds the global size limit (20971520 bytes) of the server. The message was not sent; reduce the message size and try again.
