I know, do not rely WF's backups and so on. So don't get started about that ;) But if accident happens and, say, we lose our data from database because of "human incident", what kind of data we are able to get from backup? Can we get database dumps? Or files from certain folder? Or is backup more like "machine image" that is not only about the data, but the system as whole? I'm doing our backup and risk assesment -plan and this info would be helpful. Also, i think this could be described in more detailed way in documentation. Also: can you buy "better" backup system (as this current one is not adviced to be the only way to backup) from WF? I've got plenty of backup thingies on my hand, and for reasonable price, buying "extended" service for backup is certainly worth of thought. asked 15 May '13, 07:20 Jasmo |
We back up database dumps, the contents of your home directory (excluding ~/logs), and your crontab. We'll look into adding that information to our docs. We don't offer any other backup services, paid or otherwise. answered 15 May '13, 16:11 seanf |
