I have installed a Jetty server and it works fine when I logged in. However, the server always shut down after a short period of time even I have put the process to the background (I also tried nohup).

How can I make the server keep running? Can I make the server as a service? Or I can only restart the server by cron job every 10 minutes:(?

Thanks @bmeyer71, the server works well when I logged in. The problem now is I cannot make the server keep running. The server runs for only several minutes after I logout, then it just shut down (even if I have put the process to the background by &) ...
