WebFaction
Community site: login faq

Hello, I'm a bit new to Django but it seems that, when modifying my models, I need to delete the table, modify my models and then allow django to create them again (with the new info). Is there a tutorial (or a good starting point) for backing up and then restoring a table in webfaction? I've tried on my own, using the webfaction front end, but I get permission errors...

My goal is to be able to add to a model and not lose the data currently in the table.

Thanks in advance, Nino

You would be better to use the south migration tool for this. Have a look at the documentation here. They also have a tutorial.

South looks great. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, Bjorn.
