I have a team mailbox setup that has a few other users mailboxes linked to it. If someone that is a part of the team mailbox sends an email to team, they also get the email in their inbox. Is there a way to prevent that?

Another way would be to use a procmail rule for the sender's mailbox, like this:

:0
 * ^From:.*individual@domain.com
 * ^To:.*group@domain.com
/dev/null

This means that any message sent from individual@domain.com to group@domain.com will be discarded upon arrival in individual@domain.com's mailbox.

If you want to handle this on the server side then one way would be to have all of the messages for that email address go to a script then have the script send it to certain parties based on the sender. Other than that, you may want to try using a mailing / distribution list on the mail client end. Other than these suggestions, the problem is that there is no way for the server to know how to route the message based on this particular rule.
