I install a Rails CMS on my webapps and to configure it after running the app, I have to connect myself to http://localhost:8080

How can I do that from my local computer ?

Hello,

The short answer is via an SSH tunnel. Please see

https://docs.webfaction.com/user-guide/databases.html?highlight=mysql#starting-an-ssh-tunnel-with-ssh

for details on how to do that - the instructions are for remote database access but they still apply in this case. Once you establish such a tunnel then just point your browser to http://localhost:8080 (or whichever port you used for the local endpoint) and you should be set.

If you need more information then please do not hesitate to contact us again.

Sincerely,

Valentin I.
