I am looking to use Captivate 6 to create an Adaptive Assessment. I want the quiz to utilize more than just a simple branching off the answers. Meaning, if a users answers right or wrong the test gets harder or easier. I would like the different question pools to have different difficulty ratings, with multiple areas of assessment mixed in. The Quiz will need to assess the difficulty of the question and then adjust the rating appropriatly and direct the user from there. In all, this is a fairly complex project, but I want to be able to prove it can be done simply.

One thing we are looking at is Item Response Theory for the mathematics... but I gave up on higher level math after I left college. Has anyone had success on a highly adaptive quiz that uses random questions & pools to assess profiency and knowledge?
