What is the correct way of installing application that is not in the select-list? I need to install CMS Made Simple (CMSMS) in order to be able to port the site to drupal, but have hard time making everything right so that I wouldn't get "Site not configured" error message.

With drupal I have always selected basic drupal installation and then manually installed over it to that directory eg. different drupal installation profile.

CMSMS recommends PHP 5.3+, so create a Static/CGI/PHP-5.3 (or 5.4) application, and then put your CMSMS files in the directory for that app.

Next, create a MySQL database and user via our control panel, and make a note of the database credentials.

Finally, connect your CMSMS app to a site, then follow the CMSMS install instructions from there.

Hope that helps!
