I've been getting a lot of messages form clients complaining that their emails bounce back with reasonably sized attachments. What exactly is the maximum size allowed for incoming emails with attachments and how can I increase it?

The total size of an incoming message, including all attachments, can't exceed 20MB. This can't be increased.

But i get oversized message with attachments smaller than 10MB. How can I make sure that 20MB is the actual limit on my emails?

20MB is the actual limit for everybody. If you believe the limit is being applied incorrectly, then please open a support ticket and include the full text (with headers) of one of the bounce messages so that we can determine why they are being rejected.
