Hi , Has anyone used webfaction to bring up a java application with remote debugging options? I am bringing up a application in jetty server. However, I am not able to do remote debug even when I have opened a custom port and associated the same.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Mano

Resolved this issue.

Steps followed. 1) Used own Custom Application / Applied for a Custom Port to be opened by opening a Support Ticket. The response was quick.

For example - say port number 9999.

2) Brought up the application with remote java debug option like below.

$ java -Xdebug -agentlib:jdwp=transport=dt_socket,address=9999,server=y,suspend=n -jar start.jar

3) Use Eclipse Remote Dubug

.. enjoy debugging!

Cheers, Mano
