Hey guys, having a bit of trouble with my rails app. I'm new to this, so please forgive me if it's really basic.

I got a rails app, and I'm using communityengine plugin. After 20-30 mins of fumbling around, I realized that doing "rails new [appp] creates a 4.0 app, but that's not a big concern at the moment.

I'm getting the error in the topic: LoadError: cannot load such file -- scrypt

I have scrypt in Gemfile, I tried 'gem install scrypt', I still can't get the migrations to run.

Command I'm running: bin/rake community_engine:install:migrations

Error:

[jinxing@web380 hello_world]$ rake community_engine:install:migrations --trace
rake aborted!
LoadError: cannot load such file -- scrypt

Thanks for any help.

Before you ran the commands to get this far did you run the export commands listed here to set the correct paths?

I was creating a new rails project, and I incorrectly assumed that the version when installing (3.2) while setting up the app would be the one created by 'rails new [name], but it's actually always 4.0.

The plugin I was using was 3.2 dependent, so that's why I was having all these errors.

Ran into similar error. Add this to your Gemfile:

gem 'scrypt'

Seems like authlogic may not have installed it as a dependency.
