Hi board,

How can we solve this? any advice? we received an email from webfaction stating that you have identified some spam coming from my account. Can you tell us in detail how exactly do we prevent and or fix this?

Help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Carlo,

In most cases the Spam being sent from an account usually means that your Wordpress, Joomla, or Drupal application is not up to date and someone is using your security vulnerabilities to turn your application into a spam source.

The best way to fix it is to keep your Wordpress, Joomla, and Drupal applications up to date by upgrading whenever a new version comes out. Another important step is to make sure your passwords aren't easily guessable.
