I'm managing my hostnames in another company - the hostnames points to the ns servers of that company, but the AAA records point to your webfaction IP address.

If I change the DNS records to your dns ns servers, what is best : the actual dns name or the ip address behind it ?

Use the hostnames, not the IP addresses. That way, if the IP address of one of our name servers changes, you won't need to change anything on your end.

The hostnames are shown in our domain documentation.

Hope that helps!

I believe you want to change things to the name servers, they should be:

ns1.webfaction.com
ns2.webfaction.com
ns3.webfaction.com

Hope that helps.

There is also ns4.webfaction.com as mentioned in our documentation.
