Community site: login faq

Last week my Wordpress dashboard started acting very slow. Most times when I try to access the comments, or go to start a new post, I can't because it either takes 5+ minutes to load, or it times out and I can't get there at all. It's sometimes affecting my site loading as well.

An help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd first start by disabling all plugins and then re-enabling them one by one. Or try this: P3 (Plugin Performance Profiler). Some plugins will definitely slow your site so much it's unusable.

If one of your plugins isn't the culprit, try installing the plugin WP Optimize and allowing it to delete all revisions, autosaves, etc. Then you might also try installing Memcached… made a big difference for me.

Hi, I'm on Web425 server, I'm also facing same issue since last week. The WordPress Admin panel, dashboard and main site is taking ages to load (Note: All 3 WordPress installs). Already installed P3 Plugin and could not find anything wrong with my plugin installs. I've raised a support ticket. Let's see.

Hello,

These issues do not appear to be related as ericwilliams's sites and Webb123's ones are on different servers, in different datacenters.

Please note that you can always profile your site with the help of online tools such as Pingdom's Tools to see whether they are indeed slow for the rest of the world.

Webb123's support ticket has been answered, please continue the conversation there.

Sincerely,

Valentin I. WebFaction Support
