Hello, I'm fairly new at deploying Django apps on the cloud, and I'm wondering what is the best practice to have two different environments (Staging and Deploy) on the same Webfaction server.

So far, I use the environment variables pattern to load dynamically "settings.production" or "settings.staging" but it would not work if it's on the same server.

Do I need necesarily to put the environments on two different servers, or is there a way to do it on the same server?

Thanks a lot.

There's no reason why you can't do that on a single server.

Could you please update your question with an example of how you're dynamically selecting your config, and perhaps include the error or problem you see as a result?
