Hi

A few month ago (or longer?) I could grab from my main account (.e.g userxy) also the memory consumpation from all my subaccounts (e.g. userxyphp, userxydjangocms, etcetera). I used this python script to get an output like this:

Total Memory Usage: 18 MB

userxy 18 MB
userxyphp 0 MB
userxydjangocms 0 MB
userxywiki 0 MB

Now it seems that a security measure prevent me (userxy; main account) to get this process information from other accounts. Even top shows only processes from the current user.

Is there a way, to fetch still the whole memory usage of all my "sub" accounts & processes? (beside that a script logs via ssh in every account and fetch the information)

bye Marcel

Unfortunately, you won't be able to get process info for other users, including your secondary users, from your main user account.

A script that logs in as your secondary users to fetch memory info (perhaps with paramiko sounds like a decent workaround to me.
