I tried to deploy a Meteor app and followed the guide here:

http://racingtadpole.com/blog/meteor-mongodb-webfaction/

But when I finally set it all up, I just wanted to fire up the app, by typing:

~/bin/node $HOME/webapps/nodeapp/msblog/main.js

But it gives me a follwing error instead:

events.js:72 throw er; // Unhandled 'error' event ^

Error: listen EADDRINUSE at errnoException (net.js:905:11) at Server._listen2 (net.js:1043:14) at listen (net.js:1065:10) at net.js:1147:9 at dns.js:72:18 at process._tickCallback (node.js:442:13)

Does anyone have an answer to this one?

The '^' makes me think it is possible one of the files has DOS style line endings and not Unix style line endings. Try running dos2unix on events.js
