I've followed the steps in http://forum.webfaction.com/viewtopic.php?id=4230 except that I've used the following .htaccess (in webapps/redirect):

Options +FollowSymlinks RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^domain.com [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.domain.com/$1 [R=301,NC]

The rules are applied and the redirection is also working but there is some issue. My website goes down suddenly and again it comes back to normal after sometime. When i checked the error logs, no suspicious activity found. Nor does that happen because more number of request. Also my server is also working very well. My site is in wordpress. Can anybody help me with this ?? Any code i can put to resolve this ??

Please provide descriptive solution

The link you provided is to our old forum, which has not been online in years and links back to a generic page on this forum. So I am not sure what steps you used.

What is the domain for your current app and we can look at the server logs and try to determine what is going on.

i just simply applied Redirection rule in .htaccess file which says that non-www domian should be redirected to www domain. No much changes i have made into it. Logs are clear. No errors found. It just shows the normal shut down and start behaviour of httpd, apache, mysql, etc.

OK, provide the domain or submit a support ticket and we will look into it further.

Your apache logs shouldn't include any information about mysql, so something seems to be wrong somewhere.

We'd love to check on this for you, but you haven't provided the domain and we can't locate your account based on your forum information. Can you tell us the domain where you're seeing this problem so we can take a closer look?
