I am getting the following error from python3.4

>>> import sqlite3 as sq
>>> conn=sq.connect('file:test.db?mode=rw', uri=True)
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module>
sqlite3.NotSupportedError: URIs not supported
>>>

I tried since than to compile local version of python 3.4 (and 3.5rc1) yielding the same error.

Any idea how to add support for Sqlite3 URI?

Thank you in advance,

The URI Filenames In SQLite were introduced from version 3.7.7. The SQLite version installed on our CentOS 6 servers is only 3.6.20.

You would need to compile both your own version of python and SQLite to use that feature.

Or you can wait for us to deploy our new servers using CentOS 7, which would have version 3.7.17 installed. There's not ETA for them at the moment, but we are in the final stages of testing before rolling the first out, so it should be sooner rather than later.
