I've used Celery once, on a Django app in an dedicated environment. I.e, I've used all the buzzwords, but I'm not experienced at all.

I have two webapps that I want to use celery with.

My question is, assuming I setup a Redis server and have two webapps talking to it, how do the celery instances know which app to talk to?

You should be able to use one redis instance with celery on two or more django apps if you define a different BROKER_URL setting and credentials (if you are using them) on each celery daemon you start.
