I would like to use wpscan, it depends on Ruby, its home page (http://wpscan.org/) says it is recommended to use Ruby 2.2.3. When I typed ruby --version i got 1.8.7 - how to switch it to higher version? Notice when i type ruby and press tab twice I get list of many ruby executables but their filenames are suffixed with version number. It makes wpscan script crash.

Edit: I just can't issue rvm install 2.2.3 because I got password prompt for password required for 'rhn-channel -l': - as I understand rvm uses rhn-channel witch is root only command?

I've done the following to install wpscan:

mkdir $HOME/opt
cd $HOME/opt
git clone https://github.com/wpscanteam/wpscan.git
cd wpscan
mkdir -p gems/{lib,bin}
export GEM_HOME=$HOME/opt/wpscan/gems
export RUBYLIB=$GEM_HOME/lib
export PATH=$GEM_HOME/bin:$PATH
gem2.2 install bundler
bundle install --without test
ruby2.2 wpscan.rb --url www.example.com

To run wpscan.rb, or update its dependencies, the next time you've logged into the ssh shell, you will need to run the 3 export lines above. I'd also create a wrapper bash script similar to this one and place it at the $HOME/bin directory with permissions set to 700, for easier access.
