What is the default location of the procmail log files?

Can they be redirected? I'm trying the following in my custom procmail, but I still can't find the logs:

# Directory for storing procmail log and rc files
PMDIR=/home/myusername/.procmail
LOGFILE=$PMDIR/log

# Set on when debugging
VERBOSE=on

I created the /home/myusername/.procmail folder so I know the location exists.

Your mailboxes reside on a separate server, and you don't have direct access to the filesystem there. This means that you can't access procmail logs.

Incoming mail does not go through our web servers, but procmail is installed there as well. So, if you need to test a procmail rule, you can use that. There is a technique for doing so described here: procmail test script

Hmm. That's a bummer. Any workaround come to mind?

I've updated my answer to include a workaround.
