WebFaction
Community site: login faq

I use external hosting for my email on the domain dogan.se, where the SMTP server is outgoing.fripost.org. I want WebFaction applications to be able to send emails from dogan.se as well, e.g. Wordpress.

So I'm just wondering, is the following SPF content correct?

v=spf1 mx a a:outgoing.fripost.org include:smtp.webfaction.com -all

Hello,

Instead of 'include', use 'a:smtp.webfaction.com' since that SMTP record does not have it's own SPF to include. So something like:

v=spf1 mx a a:outgoing.fripost.org a:smtp.webfaction.com ~all

That would detail 'your domains MX records', 'your domains A record', 'outgoing.fripost.org' and 'smtp.webfaction.com' as permitted senders.

References: mx a include
