Is there any way to enable gzip and/or HTTP/2 on an https site with Webfaction? All the topics I can find on gzip are over a year old, and let's encrypt has made SSL much more common. asked 16 Sep '16, 23:51 primalco |
compression on HTTP has been disabled due to the BREACH vulnerability. It is expected this vulnerability will not be patched, because it has been removed in APACHE 2. answered 17 Sep '16, 03:55 todl Yes I saw numerous posts about BREACH and was checking if there were any new developments as most posts were years old. Some hosts have implemented Brotli compression and also support HTTP/2, but I don't know if Webfaction has any plans for speeding up HTTPS sites.
