Opcache has been compiled on every php build since version 5.5. You would have to specifically build php without opcache. Currently on php 5.5, 5.6, and 7.0 it is compiled. Currently WebFaction needs to make a change before it can be enabled. There is an internal ticket already open for this feature, however there is no ETA at this time.

Currently you would need to compile your own php and enable opcache for that. Here is an example that you can update to php 7.0.
