I am not being able to generate certificates for www domains, only for the domains without www. For example:

letsencrypt_webfaction --letsencrypt_account_email email@mail.com --domains www.domain.com,domain.com --public ~/webapps/site/ --endpoint https://acme-staging.api.letsencrypt.org/ --username user --password pass

It validates domain.com, but not www.domain.com. I have tried several different configurations, but nothing worked. The result is always something like:

Failed to verify statuses. www.domain.com: Invalid response from http://www.domain.com/.well-known/acme-challenge/QLeTjKx19QX48U4oc9rf-HVouZ5KvUZLw7Birmjyzcs: "<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd"> <html> <head> <meta http-equi" Make sure that you can access http://www.domain.com/.well-known/acme-challenge/QLeTjKx19QX48U4oc9rf-HVouZ5KvUZLw7Birmjyzcs

And I am always able to open the link in the browser. And that is the problem. I don't know what could prevent letsencrypt from acessing the challenge files.

You will want to check if the domain is using a redirect, if it is this will fail. You will want to bind the app directly to the other domain. Is this a 301 redirect? You can check this with curl.

curl -I https://www.domain.com
curl -I https://domain.com
permanent link

Now there is something interesting, thank you. If I run curl in my computer, I get status 200. But the same command, at WF server, returns HTTP/1.1 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable

More details should be in the application logs.
