It's a great framework. Have you dropped support for it? When I choose TurboGears as an app, I don't get any options for versions and therefore can't add the app to my website.

If you do not support it anymore and I want to roll my own in a virtual environment, how do I go about this? Do I run a custom app instead?

Correct, we removed it from our installers some time ago. That aside, you should be able to install it into a 'Custom app (listening on a port)'. Then do (if using Python 3.6),

cd $HOME/webapps/custom_app_name
mkdir -p venv
python3.6 -m venv ./venv
cd venv
source bin/activate
pip3.6 install TurboGears2

Then you can use the Hello World example as a base,

http://turbogears.readthedocs.io/en/latest/turbogears/minimal/index.html#hello-world

Just make sure to substitute the Custom apps port rather than the default.

I hope this helps.
