WebFaction
Community site: login faq

I'm having a heck of a time trying to deploy my django / mezzanine app to webfaction and I hope someone can help.

So far I've followed the guide on the cfe github guide and I've also managed to install pip with easy install and a virtualenv by following the forum guide.

Now I am getting an error when I visit my site:

ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'django'

AFAIK this means that modules in my requirements.txt file are not installed? How would I go about doing this? How does my wsgi.py file know to use my virtualenv? (If that's even how this works?)

Apologies, I'm quite new to all of this!

Check httpd.conf, the --python-path flag of the WSGI directives will have a list of directories which contain python modules. That list does not contain the directory which django is in. This is a common issue, typically a typo so double check each path with a tool like 'ls' and be 100% sure.
